“ Had an amazing first visit to Bao Marylebone! The food was fantastic – we tried the fried chicken, beef rice, beef noodles, beef short rib bao, and mushroom dumplings. Every dish was packed with flavor and definitely worth a visit. The highlight, however, was the service. A huge shout-out to Justin, who made the experience unforgettable. I've never had such an attentive waiter, and his service truly elevated our meal. I'll definitely be back for round two, and while I might not remember every dish, I’ll certainly remember Justin’s exceptional service. Highly recommend! ”
“ Ellen is so kind. We were sitting at the kitchen counter and chef Ellen provided us some great recommendations on what to order! Since this is our first time trying BAO. Will be coming back for more! ”
“ Will be dreaming about this meal until my next visit and I will make it my mission to eat my way through the menu of all locations. The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive and the atmosphere is lovely and cozy. I had the pleasure of sitting at the counter and got to watch all of the energy that goes into these perfectly prepared dishes. I had the smacked Chili cucumbers that were packed with flavor and such a generous portion (Din Tai Fung WHO?!). But, the showstopper for me was the Prawn Shiao Song Bao, the fried bun was crisp on the outside and delicately soft in the middle and served warm and the prawns were dressed in a delicious sweet mayonnaise and the whole thing quite literally melts in your mouth. Finally I had the 40 Day Aged Beef Rice which was so rich and flavorful. The salty creamy yolk, the perfectly tender beef and smoky torched rice all paired together perfectly. I highly recommend getting all of these dishes. Also, the peanut milk, don’t skip it if you love peanut butter. So light and refreshing and not overly sweet. I also MUST shout out the people doing the creatives for BAO, as a former Habbo Hotel obsessed tween, I appreciate you and your designs more than you know. ”
“ Incredible food - we came on a Friday night and the place wasn’t too busy but service was friendly and food was just plain amazing. The most authentic Taiwanese beef noodles with the richest yet clear beef broth, similar to a birria flavour with fantastic freshly made chewy noodles. Bao’s taiwanese fried chicken also never misses. They also have a fun interactive VR menu! We took the 25 pp meal for the table and it was absolutely worth the money - definitely go visit at your earliest convenience! ”
“ The lunch time set menu was great. The prices were so good considering the amount of food we ate. The prawn shia song and beef noodles were my favourites. The grapeade had the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. The service was very quick and good. I will definitely come back. ”
“ Had a great lunch here. Classic pork bao, chicken rice, aubergine and fried chicken. All really well done. Service was very good. Also good if you’re looking for a quick meal then this is perfect. ”
“ As Taiwanese, must say this spot is a bit transformed into British style (BAO) and it’s not too bad. The noodles with spicy oil are the best I have ever tasted. Peanut milk drink are so good must try. ”
“ Incredible dishes and a terrific lunch 15 set menu which is outstanding value, grab it whilst you can. Must have dishes are the Taiwanese fried chicken, the prawn bun, aubergine, the beef noodles and leave room for the deep fried Horlicks ice cream bao! Delicious soft drinks like the grape soda and yuzu and grapefruit soda. Highly recommend and book ahead if you are planning to go at a busy time. ”
